Apply to Join Terra Cognita 2026

If you want to become part of Afterburn Terra Cognita 2026 you need to submit an application.

This application isn't a competition or a formality. It's the first step in getting to know each other.

Afterburn is built by its participants. Every camp, every artwork, every performance, every volunteer shift, every shared meal and every conversation becomes part of the temporary city we create together. The application helps us understand who is coming, what you want to contribute, and how we can support your experience.

Who should submit an application?

Coming with a theme camp?

You don't need to submit an individual application.
Your Camp Lead will submit one application for the entire camp and include all camp members.
Please make sure your Camp Lead knows you're joining.

Coming on your own?

If you're joining independently, with a friend, creating an art project, offering a workshop, performance, installation, or simply arriving as an independent participant, please fill out your own application.

Before you begin

The application usually takes 20–30 minutes to complete.

We recommend finding a quiet place, making yourself a cup of tea or coffee, and taking your time. Thoughtful and detailed answers help us understand you better and make the review process smoother for everyone.

After reviewing your application, one of our curators will get in touch with you to answer questions, provide feedback if needed, and guide you through the next steps.

Application period

Applications are open from today until August 22 (inclusive).

The earlier you apply, the sooner we can review your application and the more time you'll have to prepare for Terra Cognita.
